It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

A couple of weekends ago I visited my sister in Brighton and we got Christmas crafting to get us in the festive mood!

The Last of the Summer Sun

I've been trying so hard to catch up with myself posting about the things I've been up to, and I almost completely forgot to write about my sisters engagement party!

It was planned to be autumnal, since it was the end of September we had no idea how the weather would be, and knowing England it was probably going to be rotten...Man were we wrong! it was glorious weather! I think it ended up being the last really hot and sunny day of the summer, which was absolutely fantastic, we pulled out the barbecue threw a bunch of blankets on the grass and enjoyed the last of the summer sun with friends and a fabulous celebration!

For our last day in Mallorca we headed back into the mountains to drive to the islands most northerly point, Cap Formentor!

For our last couple of days in Mallorca, we rented a car and ventured further afield.

We wanted to see more of Mallorca than just the town we were staying in so, we hopped on a bus and visited the nearby  historic town of Pollença and Port de Pollença. They were both so beautiful even on the slightly cloudy day we chose to go!

I'm sorry I haven't put up a post in a while, everything has been a bit manic since I got back from my holiday, and I haven't had the energy to sit down and blog. After a couple of really rubbish days, that have left me feeling pretty hurt and angry, I have felt even less like blogging, but I need a pick me up, and I can't think of a better thing to help me keep feeling positive, than reliving my beautiful holiday!

Prior Engagement...Party

I received fantastic news that my sister has got engaged! It is so wonderful, Gen and her fiancé (teehee!) are perfect for each other! And I couldn't be more pleased that they have decided to tie the knot! Although they are throwing an engagement party we had to celebrate ourselves. We decided to do what we seem to be enjoying most this summer, you guessed it... Camping! We pitched up in our grandparents field and cracked out the bubbles!

Fun At The Fair!

Crikey I am really behind on my blogging! I'm afraid life sort of got in the way of blogging for me, but mostly I have been getting home from work and just don't have the energy to write.

So anyway, Ciarán and I actually did this weeks ago, but the photos are too fun to not share!

Bike Rides, Wild Deer and St Pauls Cathedral!

I had a wonderful weekend bike ride with Ciarán through Richmond Park on our way to a barbecue at his sister's place. Even though I live so close I hadn't actually been to Richmond Park before, so although I knew there was wild deer, I was still blown away when they came running out in front of us! Naturally in my glee of being so close to these beautiful creatures I insisted we stop and stare (and let my inner shutterbug take full control!)

On my last day in Jersey my little sister, my Dad and I visited an open gardens event, and I have to say the gardens absolutely blew me away!

Family Fun in the Channel Islands!

My dad lives in Jersey in the Chanel Islands, and I flew out to visit him for the weekend so that we could spend Father's Day together! I got the last flight out on Friday evening, and got in just in time to see the sunset!

Race For Life

Last weekend my sister and I took part in the Race For Life, it was a glorious day for it! The sun was shining, everyone was in high spirits, and we were late! But we managed to catch up the crowd, and cross the finish line! It's a fantastic cause, and a lot of fun! Also let's not forget you get a medal no matter how slow you go! It's win win!

My New Love Affair With Knittng

At the beginning of the year I began knitting a scarf. I learnt how to knit in the most basic format a few years ago, but when I went to uni I didn't have much time for knitting. Ciarán Santa bought me some knitting needles for Christmas, and I couldn't wait to get going again!

Ciarán and I went to visit my grandparents last weekend, the weather was glorious (Saturday at least), and I got to do one of my favourite things; nosey through junk and vintage shops!

I was expecting to spend my Sunday much the same as I spent my Saturday, but Ciarán and I decided to visit my sister down in Brighton because she was home alone for the weekend. We came armed with humous, olive, and all the ingredients for some lemony cocktails!!

Lydia and I went to uni together, and we are now working close enough to meet for lunch at least once a week. With all our lunching we hadn't gotten around to meeting after work for a more relaxed cocktail session! Once we realised this it was decided that this must be rectified immediately, and Friday was the day for it!

One of my very good friends Oli had her hen do a few weeks ago down in Brighton. My sister being the maid of honour hosted the do at her flat before we head off for dinner and, more importantly, cocktails!

Country Escape

Our weekend in Ireland ended up being filled with a lot more down time than planned, Ciarán came down with the flu our first night there so I got to spend Saturday curled up in the book corner catching up on some blog reading, and drinking the entire tea collection!

A couple of weeks ago Ciarán and I decided to escape the Big Smoke for a few days, so we hopped on the first flight out of London to visit his parents in Ireland.
